b6585481e8 arch/x86: Create helper for APM_CNT SMI triggers
Attempts to write to APM_CNT IO port should always be guarded
with a test to verify SMI handler has been installed.

Immediate followup removes redundant HAVE_SMI_HANDLER tests.

76cedd2c29 acpi: Move ACPI table support out of arch/x86 (3/5)
This change moves all ACPI table support in coreboot currently living
under arch/x86 into common code to make it architecture
independent. ACPI table generation is not really tied to any
architecture and hence it makes sense to move this to its own
directory.

In order to make it easier to review, this change is being split into
multiple CLs. This is change 3/5 which basically is generated by
running the following command:
$ git grep -iIl "arch/acpi" | xargs sed -i 's/arch\/acpi/acpi\/acpi/g'

338fd9ad30 device: Constify struct device * parameter to acpi_inject_dsdt
.acpi_inject_dsdt() does not need to modify the device
structure. Hence, this change makes the struct device * parameter to
acpi_inject_dsdt as const.

68680dd7cd Trim .acpi_fill_ssdt_generator and .acpi_inject_dsdt_generator
These two identifiers were always very confusing. We're not filling and
injecting generators. We are filling SSDTs and injecting into the DSDT.
So drop the `_generator` suffix. Hopefully, this also makes ACPI look a
little less scary.

1c6d8a9cf4 soc: Remove copyright notices
They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example:
- What's a "Copyright $year-present"?
- Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current
  copyright holder?
- People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even
  though they only deleted stuff
- Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year,
  because why not?
- Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"?
- Or "Generated Code"?

Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in
individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead
and use the git history to deal with the rest.

cbf9571588 drivers/pc80/rtc: Separate {get|set}_option() prototypes

7c712bbb6c Fix code that would trip -Wtype-limits
This patch fixes up all code that would throw a -Wtype-limits warning.
This sometimes involves eliminating unnecessary checks, adding a few odd
but harmless casts or just pragma'ing out the warning for a whole file
-- I tried to find the path of least resistance. I think the overall
benefit of the warning outweighs the occasional weirdness.

9faae2b939 Kconfig: Unify power-after-failure options
The newest and most useful incarnation was hiding in soc/intel/common/.
We move it into the Mainboard menu and extend it with various flags to
be selected to control the default and which options are visible. Also
add a new `int` config MAINBOARD_POWER_FAILURE_STATE that moves the
boolean to int conversion into Kconfig:
  0 - S5
  1 - S0
  2 - previous state

This patch focuses on the Kconfig code. The C code could be unified as
well, e.g. starting with a common enum and safe wrapper around the
get_option() call.

TEST=Did what-jenkins-does with and without this commit and compared
     binaries. Nothing changed for the default configurations.

5846d5727a acpi: remove CBMEM_ID_ACPI_GNVS_PTR entry
Since we can retrieve the address of ACPI GNVS directly
from CBMEM_ID_ACPI_GNVS, there is no need to store and
update a pointer separately.

We use the usual static addresses 0xfed90000/0xfed91000 for the GFX
IOMMU and the general IOMMU respectively. These addresses have to be
configured in MCHBAR registers and reserved from the OS.

93bbd41ea8 soc/intel: Enable ACPI DBG2 table generation
Enable the ACPI DBG2 table generation for Intel boards.  This is
a Microsoft defined ACPI extension that allows an OS to know what
the debug port is on a system when it is not enabled by the
firmware, so it does not show up in the coreboot tables and
cannot be easily found by a payload.

broadwell: Use byte access device, set up only when enabled since
it relies on the port being put in byte access mode and using
this serial port for debug was not standard in this generation.

skylake: Enable for the configured debug port.  Skylake uses
intelblocks for UART but not ACPI.

common: Enable for the configured debug port.  This affects
apollolake and cannonlake.

Tested by compiling for apollolake/broadwell, tested by reading
the DBG2 ACPI table on kabylake board and using IASL to dump:

b9d9b79ced soc/intel/broadwell: refactor rtc failure checking
In order to prepare for checking RTC failure in the early boot
paths move the rtc failure calculation to pmutil.c and add a helper
function to determine if failure occurred.

9fde0d780d vboot: remove init_vbnv_cmos()
Instead of having each potential caller deal with the differences
of cmos_init() and init_vbnv_cmos() when VBOOT is enabled put the
correct logic within the callee, cmos_init(), for handling the
vbnv in CMOS. The internal __cmos_init() routine returns when the
CMOS area was cleared.

c97e042a9b lynxpoint/broadwell: fix PCH power optimizer
Setting both bits 27 and 7 of PCH register PMSYNC_CFG (PMSYNC
Configuration; offset 0x33c8) causes pre-OS display init to fail
on HSW-U/Lynxpoint and BDW-U ChromeOS devices when the VBIOS/GOP
driver is run after the register is set. A re-examination of
Intel's reference code reveals that bit 7 should be set for the
LP PCH, and bit 27 for non-LP, but not both simultaneously.

The previous workaround was to disable the entire power optimizer
section via a Kconfig option, which isn't ideal.

Test: unset bit 27 of PMSYNC_CFG and boot google/lulu,
observe functional pre-OS video output

a1df15efc8 soc/intel/broadwell/lpc.c: don't zeroize existing gnvs table
The gnvs table only needs to be zeroized after init;
zeroizing an existing/populated table renders all I2C devices
completely non-functional.

TEST: boot Linux and observe all I2C devices functional

0f2025da0f intel/lynxpoint,broadwell: Fix eDP display in Windows, SeaBios & Tiano
Without this patch, eDP output is non-functional pre-graphics driver
regardless of payload (SeaBIOS, Tianocore) or video init method
(VBIOS, GOP driver) and once the standard Windows Intel HD graphics
driver is loaded.

Test: Boot Windows on peppy and auron_paine, install Intel HD
Graphics driver, observe functional eDP output with full video
acceleration.

Debugging method: adjust location of call to run VBIOS within
coreboot, observed that eDP output functional if the VBIOS is run
before the power optimizer lines, broken if run afterwards.

3cbf8d955f chromeos: Remove CONFIG_VBNV_SIZE variable
The VBNV region size is determined by vboot and is not really
configurable.  Only the CMOS implementation defined this config
variable so switch it to use VBNV_BLOCK_SIZE defined by vboot
in vbnv_layout.h instead.

This requires updating the broadwell/skylake cmos reset functions
to use the right constant.

a73b93157f tree: drop last paragraph of GPL copyright header
It encourages users from writing to the FSF without giving an address.
Linux also prefers to drop that and their checkpatch.pl (that we
imported) looks out for that.

This is the result of util/scripts/no-fsf-addresses.sh with no further

d0e212cdce devicetree: Discriminate device ops scan_bus()
Use of scan_static_bus() and tree traversals is somewhat convoluted.
Start cleaning this up by assigning each path type with separate
static scan_bus() function.

For ME, SMBus and LPC paths a bus cannot expose bridges, as those would
add to the number of encountered PCI buses.

b890a1228d Remove address from GPLv2 headers
As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to
shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons
but because there are tools that look for them, and giving
them a standard pattern simplifies things.

However, we got confirmation that we don't have to update
every file ever added to coreboot whenever the FSF gets a
new lease, but can drop the address instead.

util/kconfig is excluded because that's imported code that
we may want to synchronize every now and then.

35dc00f75b broadwell: Preserve VbNv around cmos_init
To ensure that boot flags (legacy, usb, signed-only) are
properly restored from CMOS and used in the first boot after
a battery removal or RTC reset then the VbNv region needs to
be preserved around the cmos_init call.

When using vboot firmware selection and VbNv is stored in CMOS
then that region of CMOS will have been re-initialized by the
time we call cmos_init and reset CMOS if the chipset flag was
set indicating a problem.

1) boot in dev mode, enable dev_boot_legacy and ensure it works
2) on EC console pulse PCH_RTCRST_L low for a second
3) ensure first boot after RTC reset will still boot legacy mode

boot legacy mode
